Past Lives

Like a lot of people, I was brought up in the belief that you live one time only and then it’s over. That once you crossed over you just kind of floated around on a fluffy white cloud and played a harp. Rather dull, don’t you think? One would think that there would be more to do than just sitting around. It never made much sense to me why we would only live once and then sit out the rest of eternity floating in the heavenly realm. It seems to me that if we only live once, we would be running out of souls by now. Come on, do you think there’s an endless supply of souls just waiting on the other side to come back? I mean really, if there is an unlimited supply of souls on the other side, it must be awful darn crowded. And if there are a limited number of souls on the other side, I’m sure we would have run out after all this time. Some psychics will tell you that there are fewer souls returning to the earth now than ever before. If we were running out of souls, our population would be decreasing, not increasing as it is now. There are differing theories on whether the soul exists at all, let alone as a tangible thing. Many religions make references to reincarnation, which are hidden in the subtleties of the text such as:

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias return to us? And he saith, I am not.

Some religions such as Buddhism outright proclaim their belief in reincarnation. There were just too many questions left unanswered for my liking so I decided to get the information directly from the horse’s mouth, as they say; I asked God.
There are just too many questions left unanswered for me. Theologians believe that you are born, live your life for God, and then ascend to heaven to wait for Judgment Day. It seems to me that it’s a waste of time to sit around and wait for Judgment Day.

It’s hard to imagine that a past lifetime is responsible for some of the psychological as well as physical ailments that we suffer within our present lifetime. Some people will tell you that it is not possible for a past life to intrude on the present. Others will tell you that past lives do not really exist, that what you are experiencing are only early childhood memories from the present lifetime that you have forgotten. It’s kind of like when you experience something in the present lifetime and it’s either joyful or painful. You remember the experience and learn from it. Either way whether it’s good or bad it is a learning experience, and you have the memory of that maybe tucked somewhere deep inside your brain. Whether you can recall it or not, you subconsciously remember the experience and your actions are guided by it.

There are different degrees to which these past lives are able to influence the present life. For some it is only a nagging sense of déjà vu, while for others it is a much larger issue. By

larger issue I mean that you may experience thoughts, obsessions, or fears that keep you from truly being yourself. For some people, most of their present lifetime is spent trying to understand who they really are. I have worked with several people who say that all their lives they didn’t feel like they were themselves. They would tell me that they felt like they didn’t fit in or had the feeling that they were a person out of time. Some are obsessed with a particular place, era, or object. Such is the case of Civil War reenactors[SD1] or renaissance fair reenactors and so on. These people are obsessed with a particular time period because they either died tragically, left someone behind, or it was a time of intense happiness.

Past lives

There are different types of portals. Most portals allow those souls who have recently left the physical body to ascend into the afterlife. There are the portals that swing both ways. These portals allow souls to come and go in visitation to the physical world. Then there are the dark portals that someone may have opened using the dark arts or where the veil between the two worlds has worn thin. I have encountered all three types and needless to say, the dark ones are not my favorite. Whenever found, these portals should be closed, if possible. I have only closed a few of them; here is what happened with my very first encounter with one.

I was sitting in my home office working on the editing of my first book when the phone rang, startling me. Sighing, I picked up the phone and answered it.

“Hey it’s me, you know I moved into my little house don’t you?” Julie asked

“You told me you were going to be moving to your new place in about a month. Are you already moved in?”

“Yeah, I’ve been living here for a couple of weeks and let me tell you there’s some weird things going on over here.”

“What kind of weird things are we talking about?”

“I’ve been having weird dreams and it feels kind of creepy here.”

“Did you sage and salt the place before you moved in?”

“I did the smudging with the sage but it doesn’t seem to do much good. It still feels creepy and today I think I saw a shadowy figure. Can you come over and see if you pick up on anything?”

“I can’t come right now but I’ll come over this weekend and see what I can feel. In the meantime you’ll need to smudge every day and ask for God’s protection.”

“Okay, but if something worse happens, I’m out of here until you get here!”

“Alright, let me know if something else happens and go to your mom’s if it does or you feel unsafe.”

Hanging up I got an image of a swirling vortex of dark energy. I could see dark entities entering and coming out of it. ‘Great, just great,’ I thought, ‘that’s just what I need to make my day complete, a dark portal.’

I tried to call her back but her cellphone was not answering so I left her a message. “Hey it’s me, I think you need to go and spend the rest of the week at your mom’s place. I’ll pick you up there Saturday morning around eleven.” And I hung up the phone, hoping she’d get the message later that day.

The week seemed to fly by and it was suddenly Saturday. I spent the early part of the morning preparing for what was waiting for me. First I rid myself of any negative energy then I brought the light of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit to fill and surround me. I connected with God and asked Him to send Raphael and Gabriel with me to show me how to close the portal. I instantly felt their presence and heard them say they were with me. I started packing the things I thought I would need: holy water, sage, black salt and anointing oil in a small bag. Driving over to Julie’s mother’s house I heard the Archangels discussing the upcoming event.

“I’m glad God chose us to get rid of the dark opening.” Gabriel said.

“Yeah, it’s been a while since I closed one of these, I think I might be a little rusty.” Raphael said.

“Gabriel laughed and said, “Well I’m sure you’ll lose your sense of being rusty once we get there.”

“Yes, you’re probably right. It’ll be like old times, you and me together again against the darkness. It’s just what I need to hone my skills.” He said, winking at me in the rear view mirror.

“I really don’t know about you two, I think you’re going to have way too much fun helping me with this!”

I could see them exchanging a knowing look and knew that whatever they were up to it meant trouble for someone. I was just hoping that it wouldn’t be me. “You guys need to be quiet, I can see she’s outside waiting for me.”

“Why should we be quiet, she can’t hear us, you know. You seem to forget that sometimes.”

Raphael said with a smile.

“I agree if you wouldn’t talk to us out loud no one would even know we’re here or think you’re crazy for that matter.” Gabriel said with a smile and they both burst out laughing.

“Oh be quiet you two, you distract me.” I said telepathically.

I slowed the car down to a stop and Julie got in. “Hey, needless to say I got your message.” She said smiling.

“Do you know that you have a dark portal in your little house?” I asked.

“Son of a sea biscuit, that’s why sometimes I see things out of the corner of my eye and feel weird. What can we do about it? Do I have to move or can we get rid of it?”

“We, is right, I’ve brought a couple of helpers with me to make sure we get it sealed.”

“Really, Archangels, which ones? Is it Michael, tell me it’s Michael!” she said eagerly.

“Gabriel how do you like that? What are we, chopped liver?” Raphael complained.

“Yeah, how come he gets all the glory and we get all the work?”

“Alright you two, you know I love to have you with me in any kind of fight, now stop complaining.” I said telepathically.

“No it’s not Michael, its Gabriel and Raphael and I’m glad they’re here.” I said glancing in the rear view mirror.

“That’s great double the help.” Turning toward the back seat she said, “Thanks for coming guys.”

“They said ‘you’re welcome’.”

As we made our way toward her little house the feeling of uneasiness grew stronger. The house was what some call a mother-in-law house. It was situated in the back of the property. Pulling up in the driveway we had to walk through the backyard of the big house to get to the smaller one.

Julie got out of the car while I sat for a minute gathering my thoughts and reinforcing my protective shield.

Julie came around to my side of the car and asked, “Is anything wrong, are you okay?”

“No, there’s nothing wrong, I just needed to make sure that I reinforced my protective shielding. Gabriel and Raphael said that they need to explain to me what the plan is.”

“Okay, no problem, I’ll wait by the gate.”

“Alright what’s the plan of action?”

“First we need to find it, I know it’s in the house but we need to find the exact location.” Gabriel said.

“Wait a minute, let me see if I can sense where the portal is.” Closing my eyes I focused on the building. I could see a white closet and could feel the coldness emanating from it.

I looked over to where Julie was waiting and asked, “Is there a closet on this side of the house?”

The Simple Truth

We are all born with certain gifts, and it is up to us to discover what they are, and how to use them. For some, it may take a good portion of their mortal lives to find God and discover these gifts. Once we discover these gifts, we must make the decision to use them either to do good, or evil. If you ignore them, or misuse them in any way, you run the risk of losing them altogether. If you turn to the light and thereby do God’s work, these gifts become stronger. If you give in to the darkness, you run the risk of losing them completely and pay the price. The price you pay can be anything from losing all you possess to losing your life.

There are those who are born with the innate knowledge that they are destined to serve God in one way or another. Then there are those of us who come to the realization gradually, through much trial and error. For those who choose to do God’s work, life is anything but simple. Those of us that find our way to God as adults seem to spend a lot of time asking, “Why me?” Well, why not you? After all, we are all God’s children, and he loves each of us. We are all special in our own way and bring to Him a variety of talents.
You may be thinking that you do not have anything special to offer God. On the other hand, you might be thinking, “I’ve done things in my life that I am ashamed of. I’m not good enough to do God’s work.” None of this is true, as I have found out. After all, He picked me to bestow His wonderful gifts upon. I had not lived my life as a saint; in fact, I hardly ever went to church or, at the time only read my Bible. I asked God why He chose me, as I did not feel worthy to receive His gifts. He told me that I may have not lived sin free, but I had plenty of faith and my heart was full of love and compassion. This is how I know that God judges you by your heart, not just your actions. It took me a long time to understand this simple truth. Maybe the fact that it is so simple makes it easy to overlook. We mortals always seem to make things more complicated than they have to be.

I know a man who had the ability to communicate with his guides, and then turned his back on them and God. He tried to use his guides to spy on and try to influence people. He would ask them to go to his ex-wife, wherever she was, come back, and let him know what she was doing. He would use them to make her think constantly of him and make her call him. He would tell her that he could make her think of him whenever he wanted. She became fearful and refused to have any more contact with him. From that point on his guides refused to do what he asked, so he turned his back on them. He told his guides that he did not need them or God in his life. After that, he seemed to spiral out of control, drinking heavily, doing drugs. The gift that he had received from God no longer worked; he could no longer hear his guides. He lost his home, his vehicle, and found out he owed over one hundred and fifty thousand in back taxes. To this day, he has not figured out why all of these things have happened to him! He simply was and is too stubborn to admit his so-called bad luck is his own fault for shutting God out.

As you can see, turning away from the light can lead to all kinds of complications and problems in your life. I am not saying that you must be a “devout Christian,” but rather live your life in the spirit of the light. By that, I mean that if you do good, help others, never hurt anyone on purpose, and keep God in your heart, then you are walking in the spirit of the light. You do not have to have any gifts to serve God in your own way. You do not have to do anything huge; you would be surprised at how much good you can do by simply listening to someone who has no one to talk with. Just listening to them, or giving them a shoulder to cry on when they need it, can change a person’s life. It is the small things you do that can enable a person to make it through the rough spot in their life. It may be that you give them comfort or a helping hand in their time of need. Stop and think about it; how many times have you gone out of your way to spend that extra few minutes just listening to someone talk things through? How many times have you sat up until the wee hours of the morning to be with someone who is hurting? These are the little things that may not mean a lot to you, but will make a difference in someone else’s life.
